Role Summary :

Oversee and optimize the company's entire supply chain, including order fulfillment and supplier development. This role involves coordinating complex production schedules, ensuring accurate inventory control, and handling all import logistics. This includes coordinating with international suppliers, guaranteeing customs compliance, tracking shipments, and managing the delivery of imported goods. This position is located in Grand Rapids Michigan and will be working in the office.

Role Expectations :

  • Ensure on-time order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory
  • Communicating and managing production schedules
  • Drive efficiency and minimize cost throughout the supply chain via continuous improvement /Value added opportunities
  • Coordinating international logistics

General Responsibilities :

  • Demand forecasting
  • Tracking and reporting departmental KPIs
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy and cycle counting activities.
  • Responsible for inventory kanban process
  • Communicate and coordinate daily production schedules with contract manufacturers.
  • Manage production scheduling and purchase order releases within SAP, verifying timely and accurate communication with suppliers.
  • Manage part numbers, BOM’s, and routing.
  • Coordinate the import process including coordinating with international suppliers ensuring customs compliance, tracking shipments, and overseeing the delivery of imported goods.
  • Planning, releasing, and monitoring of materials and issue purchase orders to suppliers and ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Develop the supply chain needed for new vendors, materials, and goods
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulation and compliance requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ related experience in supply chain
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of SAP software or similar ERP system
  • Experience in international logistics/ transportation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Education, Experience and Skill Requirements :

  • Experience with SAP B1
  • Experience with procurement, inventory management, and logistics planning
  • Supplier relationship management
