About the Role

As a Junior SAP BASIS Administrator, you will join a team of experienced professionals supporting a variety of enterprise customers. You’ll assist in the day-to-day technical administration of SAP environments, learning to manage system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement changes under the guidance of senior team members. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical expertise in SAP while gaining hands-on experience in system administration, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in SAP system monitoring, performance checks, and daily operational tasks
• Help with SAP installations, updates, backups, and migrations
• Learn and contribute to security configurations, user management, and audit processes
• Support incident resolution and escalate complex issues to senior team members
• Perform database backups and assist with OS-level administration
• Help configure transport routes, printers, and background jobs
• Document standard operating procedures and participate in team knowledge sharing

Project/Change Management

• Participate in regular system refreshes and SAP kernel upgrades
• Assist with system copies, support package applications, and technical cleanups
• Shadow experienced team members on upgrade and implementation projects
• Learn project documentation and change management best practices

Communication/Presence

• Support customer operations by responding to requests in a clear and timely manner
• Participate in regular status meetings and help prepare customer reports
• Learn how to communicate system updates, incidents, and maintenance activities
• Understand and track customer-specific procedures and service level expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with SAP systems (internships or junior roles welcome) is a plus
• Basic understanding of Linux and/or Windows server environments
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Knowledge of relational databases (SAP HANA, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
• Strong interest in developing a career in SAP system administration
