Job Summary:

Our Host is the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a warm and inviting first impression for every guest. This role involves managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication with the service team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understands our culture and does whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
  • Welcomes guests warmly by smiling and making eye contact as they enter the restaurant.
  • Answers guest questions regarding flow, food, beverages, restaurant, and the restaurant’s story.
  • Keeps guests entertained and engaged while waiting or in line.
  • Leads guests at their own pace to a clean, perfectly set table and hands each guest the appropriate menu(s) after they are seated.
  • Maintains awareness of available tables in the dining area and always knows of a party 'on deck' to be seated.
  • Communicate with servers and managers regarding the availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests so that guests enjoy a memorable experience.
  • Handles guests' complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return to the restaurant again.

Hospitality to the Restaurant:

  • Inspects and cleans the restrooms, dining room, and lobby as needed and reports any unsafe conditions to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitors dining area tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards (e.g., proper table set up, full napkin dispensers, swept floors under tables, etc.).

Hospitality to your Team:

  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled, well-groomed in the proper work attire, and ready to work.
  • Clocks in and out as scheduled.
  • Demonstrates a helpful, positive attitude to guests and team members.
  • Completes all assigned tasks and duties assigned by managers/supervisors.
  • Checks the greeter area and its storage areas for adequate supplies (e.g., menus, business cards, pens/pencils, etc.) to ensure supplies are readily available.
  • Reviews potential wait times and works with managers to plan seating arrangements.
  • Assists fellow team members as needed to ensure our guests receive the highest standard of food, beverage, and hospitality.
  • Checks out with a manager before leaving at the end of each shift.

Requirements & Prior Experience:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Able to speak to the restaurant's story and mission statement.
  • Passion for hospitality, providing exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
