C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product. Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day- Montgomery, shuttles. Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements. All other duties as assigned. Travel Required: Yes. Environment includes Store: Freezer (-20F to 0F), Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F), Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F). Skills required include DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License, must be at least 21 years old, valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam, must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements, quality and customer-service focused, comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures. Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school.
