Position: Data Pipeline Engineer

Location: NYC, NY OR Washington, DC (Georgetown) OR Colorado Spring, CO - 100% on-site in 1 of these 2 locations

Project Duration: 6+ months

Interview Process: 2x video Interview + coding exercise

Start Date: ASAP

Clerance Required: Top Secret ( must have SCI eligibility)

The Role

Data Pipeline Engineer ensure that our customers work with updated and accurate data in Foundry. You are the first to respond to data health failures on key pipelines. You are technical, with a passion for system support. You are comfortable reading code to identify fixes and making changes to improve the performance and stability of production data pipelines. Working alongside pipeline engineers from other customer accounts, your insights into the product and process will form an essential part of feedback to our product engineering team, and other user and product support teams.

What You'll Work On:

• Develop and maintain Foundry pipelines using Pipeline Builder to ingest, transform, and integrate data.
• Build modular applications and workflows leveraging TypeScript/javascript, Python, Java, C++ and Foundry AIP.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to refine data models and ontology mapping.
• Utilize code repositories such as Git to manage and version control development efforts.
• Assist in Foundry workshops to guide stakeholders through platform capabilities.
• Support testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Foundry applications.
• Work in Agile development environments, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Create user-facing applications in support of mission needs
• Support data integration efforts
• Design UX and platform navigation improvements
• Provide feedback to the Palantir engineering team about product

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience of data engineering, including application or software development
• 2+ years of experience with Palantir Foundry
• Experience with Python or TypeScript
• Experience with Pipeline Builder, AIP, and Foundry's application development ecosystem
• Experience with Git-based code repositories and CI/CD workflows
• Ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working in mission-oriented analytics or logistics-based data environments
• Experience with data modeling, ontology mapping, or data visualization within Foundry
• Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices and software lifecycle methodologies
• Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
